HOMEBIRTH CARE
$3800
Homebirth care is all encompassing, which allows me to charge a global fee for care. While there is no “right time,” to start seeing a midwife, the earlier in your pregnancy you do, the better your chances of securing a place on my calendar. It also gives us an extended amount of time to get acquainted before the birth of your baby.
I am there to help keep my client and their baby safe throughout the pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. My clients and I spend a lot of time together during prenatals making sure that we are catching any issues before they become a problem. If a complication should arise, I make sure my clients have all the information they need to make an informed decision about how to proceed.
As a community midwife, my role is to help you get ready to give birth, to help you prepare for transformation in a safe environment that we build together. I am there to help my clients identify their needs and desires, and prepare for birth and postpartum. I am there to cheer them on and encourage them, to remind them of their strength when things get hard. I am there to help keep them and their baby safe throughout the pregnancy, birth and postpartum period.
-
Typically, I see clients every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and then weekly until the birth of your baby.
For your comfort, and always with your consent first, I can perform routine procedures that most are familiar with during a pregnancy. These may include things such as gestational diabetes testing, listening to baby's heartbeat, and more.
-
I will be with you throughout your labor and birth process. The timing of when I will join you during labor varies slightly and is different for each family.
-
Once your baby is born, I will visit you in-home within 24 hours, at 1 week, and at 2 weeks. At 4 weeks, I will meet with you at my office. I also offer an optional visit in my office at 6 weeks.
